Never Been Kissed by C.M. Kars

18 May

Sera Delos has a secret.

She wishes it were something important or life-altering like owning a key to a blue Police Box that’s home to a time-travelling alien, or that she must hide the secret identity of her alter-ego.

No, Sera’s secret is un-extraordinary. At twenty-five, she’s never been kissed. There just haven’t been many opportunities for the self-acclaimed nerd. There have always been too many shows to watch, too many books to read, and the rest of the time is spent fangirling over Tom Hiddleston.

When the hottie next door and his son need a ride to the hospital, and Sera becomes the only available driver, her life is changed forever. Hunter MacLaine makes Dean Winchester seem like a mediocre-badass, even if he is a diabetic and doesn’t think much of himself.

An old flame, nerdy references and the ups and downs of slowly falling in love with her next door neighbour, Sera’s wondering the obvious. Maybe, just maybe, if all the nerd-gods are smiling down on her, Sera Delos might have just found the man who her first kiss belongs to.

I can’t remember the last time I felt that thing. “That thing, that moment when you kiss someone and everything around you becomes hazy…and the only thing in focus is you and this person…and you realize that person…is the only person that you are supposed to kiss…for the rest of your life. And for one moment you get this amazing gift, and you wanna laugh, and you wanna cry…´Cause you feel so lucky that you found it… and so scared that it´ll go away all at the same time.”- Never Been Kissed (1999)

Yes. I felt that so called thing that, Drew Barrymore said as Josie Geller with this book and I din’t wanted it to end. (It was that good)

I felt myself be the amazing geek-Greek, Sera Delos. Which is pretty awesome on my account, I got to discover through her the badass awesomeness there is, to being a nerd. Not that I’m not a nerd, which in my case I’m nerd-ish, but that’s irrelevant right now.

But back to the point is that Never Been Kissed by C.M. Kars is Sexy, Seductive, Witty and Plain Fun! I can’t remember the last book that made want to kickass with my Chuck Taylors or to grow a backbone and be simply nerdy with the books I adore. And this is what this story is about. To accept who you truly are with insecurities and all, no matter how broken you seem to be, or how silly you must look in front the whole world by being passionate to something that makes your heart skip a beat or even make your heart dance. But better yet, to simple love yourself, accept your chance at happiness, at love too and of course your shot at romance.

Sera Delos story will enthrall you to the end and don’t get me to start on the SexGod of Hunter McLaine! But wrapping it up Never Been Kissed by C.M. Kars is a MUST READ! You won’t waste your time and I assure you next time you see Tom Hiddleston dressed as Loki Laufeyson you won’t resist grinning. In fact you will wish that you own your own pair of Loki’s underwear saying: Kneel Before Me!

“I…don’t want. You.” Jesus, that was hard.

“One more time, say it again, and I won’t put my mouth on you. I won’t taste that mouth of yours and all the nerdy things that come out of it. I won’t tangle my tongue with yours, stroke it, lick it and suck it like I want to. Say it again Sera. Do it for me, baby.”

Hunter wants an answer I keep looking at his mouth, up to his eyes, only to go back to his eyes. Fuck, I want to taste him. I want Hunter to have my first kiss. But God, I’m going to be awful at this, so I have to stay strong.

“I-I… I don’t want…What?” SHIT.

“Good answer, baby. Now, bring that sweet mouth closer, and let me kiss you.” – Never Been Kissed by C.M. Kars

Meet: Christina Schmidt as Sera Delos, a plus size girl that loves to bake, Harry Potter Books, movies and nerdy saying T-shirts. She’s 25 years old and she’s pretty much a Josie Geller, but something change that path when next door neighbor hottie knocks on her apartment door and asks for the Disney’s version of Peter Pan. (Seriously)

Meet: Luke Ford as Hunter McLaine the SexGod. He’s not your average bad boy and he’s doesn’t take well help from strangers. But things change when the help of a nerd it’s the only option to get to the emergency room, babysit his son, and his sweetest single opportunity keep his demons away.

“I don’t kiss losers,” I whisper right before our lips touch. “I only kiss badasses. And you are a badass, Hunter MacLaine.” Never Been Kissed by C.M. Kars

P.S. May the force be with you and prepare fall in love!
