Torture to Her Soul (Monster in His Eyes #2) by J.M. Darhower

29 Sep

Don’t say it unless you mean it…

It’s a simple concept, one I’ve said time and again, but something people don’t seem to comprehend. You should choose every syllable carefully, because you never know when somebody will hold you to your word.

Somebody like me.

I’m not a good man. I’m not. I know. I have enough darkness inside of me to rid the world of every stitch of light. But there’s one I could never harm, one light I couldn’t bring myself to snuff out.

She thinks I’m a monster, and maybe I am. I taunt her with my touch, get a thrill out of torturing her soul. But I’m not the only one. The world is full of monsters, and I’m not the most dangerous one out there.

Not even close…

God help me, I love her.

I do.

And God help anyone who tries to take her from me.

5/5 Mind Blown Stars!

***ARC received by author in exchange of an honest review***

This is the only opportunity; I’ll get to confess this. The only man that I fiercely hate and passionately love is Ignazio Vitale.  He’s the charming black night that lingers in a horror fairy tale/dark romance come to life.  Sadistic seducer, horrifying beautiful angel, silver tongued devil, and perfectionist beast dressed as master or pure pleasure. And in the words of the seducing, captivating monster of Ignazio, I say it because, I so freaking mean it!

(Ok. Now afterwards of my little heart-to-heart with you guys, let’s get to business, shall we?)

Every now and then, our mind will roam places, which many acknowledge as wish full thinking. Moments when you think that you are meant to something greater, to experience heart shattering kind of love, to grasp all the good that life gives, right? But what happens, when all that light in your life, become lies and secrets? That you illogically ache for a person that makes your blood boil, with hatred and passion at the same time. That you find yourself loving a monster that lurks in every shadow you pass. In an alternate world he’s the soul-mate, but in the sick twisted reality he’s the Torture to her Soul.

In Torture to her Soul by J.M. Darhower, the story will be told by Ignazio’s perspective. It will become an intimate connection between you (reader) and him. You will see through his eyes and feel what he feels. You will learn how he thinks, what he believes, his business and his personality disorder. You will be inside his head and you will hear every dark thought. Your mind will race with infinite scenarios and possibilities and no more of thinking like a killer. You and he will become one…a killer.

Ignazio is an intense character and first hand you will experience it. And I have to say that choosing this method to portrait such a complex and unforgettable character was brilliant!  Also, even with the couple heated dilemma between them, there’s was always something darker, meaner and menacing watching in the dark, waiting for the right opportunity to strike. And these elements of animosity, friendship, love, hate, and business gave a bold new flavor and a perpetual estate of excitement!

Now wrapping it up, Torture to her Soul by J.M. Darhower is a masterpiece! The author took her time carving this story to perfection and it shows with the intricate flow of words and mind blowing twists! This book is not meant to be forgotten, and I have to give applause and shout BRAVO!  to this author for giving me such thrilling experience, and for giving me the chance to review such a gem of a book. I will read anything of this author. Mrs. Darhower, you just got a fan for life.

P.S. There is only one Ignazio Vitale, and he’s incomparable and unforgettable!
